PERFORMACNE OF : OILPOWER pumps are designed with the high tensile aluminum body, controlled gear tip leakage and DU lined bimetal bearing block with best seal to give high volumetric efficiency. For the direct load special purpose pumps are available with extra bearing supports.

DRIVES : Flexible coupling is recommended to adjust any misalignment of shaft and vibration. Splines must allow sufficient radial movement. A shaft key is supplied with the pump and must be hand fitted when the coupling is assembled. Don’t remove coupling from shaft by hammering, this will damage the pump internally. For indirect drives use larger pulley as close as to pump mounting flange, this minimize the side load. |

MOUNTING AND ROTATION : The rotation arrow and Inlet port are stamped on the pump body. According to rotation pump may be mounted in any position. The unit is supplied with either two bolts or four bolt flanges with a spigot. To minimize vibration use flexible hose immediately connected to the pump ports. |

OIL TANK AND SUCTION LINE : The reservoir capacity for industrial application should be three to five times the open loop flow per minute. For the mobile applications, the reservoir should be sized for not less then 0.75 times the open loop. The suction line must be as large as possible and should be free from sharp bends to prevent excessive suction head. The complete system should be designed to prevent entry of air because this will cause heating of pump. The suction and return connection should be positioned as far as possible. |

FLUIDS AND FILTRATION : The basic consideration in the selection of Hydraulic fluid is expected maximum oil temperature during service. The pumps are designed to operate between 0 os to 80 o C. This maximum oil temperature must be considered to obtain equivalent temperature- viscosity characteristics. The viscosity should be maintained in the 97- 456 SUS (20 – 100- cST) range. Most of mineral oil based hydraulic fluids are suitable for our pumps. The fluid should be filtered during fill up of tank and operation. The minimum cleanliness level of ISO 17/14 should be maintained. The filtration system is depending on the configuration and complexity of the system. |
